What this is
Stars Hollow, by the Numbers counts what happens in all 153 episodes of Gilmore Girls across seven seasons: every argument, apology, secret, hug, "I love you", Friday night dinner, romance moment and cup of coffee, plus who talks the most.
It is an unofficial fan project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Warner Bros., Hulu or the makers of Gilmore Girls.
How the numbers were counted
Arguments, apologies, secrets, hugs, "I love you"s, Friday dinners and romance events were counted by reading every script line by line.
- Arguments: both sides push back across several lines. Banter doesn't count.
- Coffee, "Mom" vs "Mother" and who appears: counted directly from the script text.
- Who talks most: lines of dialogue in each episode's script.
Close calls could go either way, so treat every number as accurate to within a few.
