How to play
- Choose to play as Lorelai or Rory. Each dinner is ten courses of questions from Emily, Richard and the other Gilmore girl.
- Answer each one diplomatically, with humor, with the uncomfortable truth, or by changing the subject. The same answer plays differently depending on who asked, how they asked, and everyone's mood.
- Watch the meters: Emily's disapproval, Lorelai's sarcasm and Rory's anxiety. Any of them hitting 100 ends dinner early, but you always get a warning first.
- Score points for surviving, defusing arguments, landing comebacks and rare family moments. Find all sixteen endings for the Dinner Disaster Scrapbook.
About Friday Night Dinner Disaster
Every Friday at seven, Lorelai and Rory owe Emily and Richard Gilmore a dinner. This game puts you in one of their chairs for ten rounds of questions about school, work, dating, money, Stars Hollow gossip and the secrets nobody wanted to bring up over soup.
There is no single right answer. A joke that makes Richard laugh can make Emily bristle, the truth lands differently on a polite question than on a cutting one, and changing the subject twice in a row never goes unnoticed. Surprise events, from a ringing phone to an unexpected apology, can rescue a dinner or sink it.
Every question and line of dialogue in the game is original, written for the game rather than quoted from the show.

Questions
How do you win Friday Night Dinner Disaster?
Make it through all ten rounds without Emily's disapproval, Lorelai's sarcasm or Rory's anxiety hitting 100. You always get a warning before a meter breaks. Calm dinners and chaotic ones can both be wins; the ending you get depends on how you got there.
How many endings are there?
Sixteen: five victories, eight rare endings, three defeats and one secret ending. Your Dinner Disaster Scrapbook keeps track of the ones you have found.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. The game is built for phones as well as desktop, with large buttons and a full-screen mode that locks the page while you play. It also works with a keyboard: press 1 to 4 to answer and Escape to pause.
Is there a timer?
Each question has an optional 20-second timer. If it runs out, you hesitate and the subject changes. You can pause at any time or turn the timer off before you start.
Is it the same dinner every time?
No. Questions, surprise events and reactions change every game, and recent questions are held back. Tonight's dinner mode gives everyone the same table for the day if you want to compare scores.
